What in the heck is going on with the weather around here? We are just now getting rid of the 12 inches of snow that we got weekend before last. The shoreline is still intact and the ice is still over 2 ft thick. This is going to be the latest for ice out that I have ever seen. We will be lucky to have open water by the 6th of May.

That is my prediction, but that will mean that the walleyes will still be in shallow water on the opener. I had a group of out of state guys just cancel their cabins for the opener, so if you are looking for a cabin for the opener, I have 2 of them available. Give us a call and we will set it up for you. I will keep you all posted on the progress of the ice out.

Be safe
