Hello everybody form Acorn Hill Resort, on Leech Lake.

Fishing is still strong. We have one guy that has came back 3 times now with differant friends, and he say's he never experanced anything like it. Catching walleye you can eat, and walleye in the mid 20" that are in the slot, but fun to catch. The best is a jig with a minnow in 8 to 12 feet of water. Most of our guest's been fishing on the big part of the lake around Pine Point, the Hardwoods, Star, east side of Goose, and Stoney. My wife was trying a night crawler, and caught a 15'' and 2 that were between 22'' and 24 '', so don't be afraid to try worms also. Leeches are starting to work also, best on a jig. On the crawler my wife was using a bottom bouncer with a floater. Use a drift sock to slow down the drift with jig, or been seeing people anchored, and jiging, doing very well too.

Pan fish are hitting in Shingobee, and Miller bay's. My grand kids were up this weekend, and we had to good meals of sunies, and crappies. We caught a bunch, but just keep enough eaters both times we went out. Wax worms were the bait we used.

Well that's it from Acorn Hill, brave the gas prices the best you can. Keep it around 55, and it help's alot.
