We fished Goose on Saturday 6-14-08
Walleyes where biting well in 10-15 feet of water, trolling shad raps along the weed lines.
Pike were hitting the same lures as we trolled. The pike were in the 24 to 26 inch range.
Very windy conditions, so we mostly fished the west side of the south basin.
The north basin is only on average 5 to 6 feet deep.
The south basin has holes up to 55 feet deep.

There is a public access on the north basin, but it is very shallow, so only smaller boats are recommended to be used.
There is a pay access on the north side of the narrows, that costs $5, and the parking lot only holds up to 10 vehicles.

There is a slot size on walleyes of 17 to 20 inches with one over 20 that can be kept. Most fish were in the 14 to 16 inch range.

We only kept a few walleyes that made it in the slot at 17 1/4" to 17 1/2"
The pike kept us busy the most, but none were kept. No restrictions on pike.

Also be aware of the crappie limit set on this lake of 5 fish.

Hope you had a GREAT fathers day!

Hunter
