Here is a great way to help out a group of people who can't do it for themselves.  It's volunteering to build ground blinds for handicapped people.  They used to build them any way they wanted and now there are regulations so they are much more expensive.  This would help MANY wheel chair bound people get out and hunt.  I've met the coodinator of this group at one of my MDHA meetings and he's a great guy who works VERY hard at what he does.

This is a quote from another website:

New Dates for Capable Partners Blinds

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are giving some lead time on the next building of blinds. We are assembling the blinds that were built. We will be assembling them on July 12th and 19th. We will start on them at 8 o'clock on each day. Lunch will be provided to all who help.
Directions from MN Highway 65 go to Anoka County 18 or Crosstown Blvd. and go East to Lexington Ave. Turn left on Lexinton Ave. and go back to Anoka County 18 East to Zodiac. Turn left on to Zodiac and stay on gravel road until it dead ends at Carlos Avery Game buildings.
If we get enough people we can get them built and put out in time for the deer to get used to them before the deer season.
We also can not have alcoholic beverages on site. We were given a citation for the initial build and had to write a formal response to the DNR.

(Side note from me -- alternate directions would be 35E to Forest Lake.  Go west on Main Street to Zodiac.  Turn right on Zodiac and go back to the cluster of barns.  There's a dirt road on the left -- take that back to the next barn and you're there.)
If ya don't know where ya are, go back to da beginnin.
