I'm a lifelong bird hunter with no dog this season, so I'd like to give whitetail hunting a crack.  Does anyone have recommendations for guide services or places that can help a rookie out?

Thanks.

FDW,
where are you from, what area(s) would you consider hunting and what method of hunting are you interested in trying, ie bow hunting, firearms-rifle or shotgun(slugs), or would you rather try muzzleloading?

what age are you and are you male or female?
simple questions that any guide would like to know up front. basicly background info.
do you own any weapons of stated hunting options?

lets get these questions out of the way then we can get into more details.
thanks, Jigglestick

Jigglestick:

I'm in the Cities and most interested in a rifle hunt.  I would be willing to go pretty much throughout the state (and I suppose Wisconsin) for a hunt.  I know that rifle hunts are only available in certain areas, so that limits my options.  I basically have the gear I would need and wouldn't need a guide to supply a gun.  If I need calls or scent or other kind of specialized deer equipment, I would need to get a hold of that.
