went to the lake.

the wife wanted to get out and watch boats on the lake, so we
decided to go to gervais in maplewood. a good time watching
2  i would think were about 13 YO hmong girls fishing and catching
little sunnys and actually taking them off the hook themselves.
now race has nothing to do with this!!  there was a black guy
there with his son who was maybe 5, that kid was haveing a
ball with his snoopy rod! next comes a white guy with his daughter,
maybe 3 with her barbie rod,  really made my day to see all these
people bringing there kids on the fishing pier and talking and laughing!
there were a few small sunnys caught. might go back tomorrow with
my grand daughter!  there is hope for todays youth!

Sounds like you guys had a really nice time Bone!!  You should take your grand daughter there, I'm sure she would love it and you would probably love it even more!!

Statistics state that if a child doesn't fish by the time he or she is 12 yrs old, It's more than likely they will never fish in their entire lifetime. Said but true so let's encourage those kids and get them started.
