I hunt out of a ground blind and have always worn realtree camo INSIDE the blind.  My thoughts are that I want to blend in with the outside of the blind itself so that when a deer sees my blind that my camo'd image breaks up the black opening of the window/windows.  I just set up a new blind today and my buddy says, "you know you need to be wearing all black inside your blind, don't you?".  We disagreed and went back n forth.  His reasoning is that since the inside of the blind is black material that I should blend in with the window and inside which is black.  My opinion is that I'm not worried about the deer seeing the me in camo.  I'm worried about the deer seeing the BIG black shape of the window.  If I'm wearing camo, the deer sees a five foot window(the size of my blind's opening) and sees a little black on the left of me and a little black on the right of me.  Nothing TOO alarming.  If I'm in all black then the WHOLE window appears black which stands out more to a deer.  Opinions?  Thanks.

I don't think it's a big deal either. Black, Camo, etc....... I'm not very convinced myself thet sight is a huge factor in alarming deer. As long as your camouflaged in some way, you should be just fine.

The 2 biggest factors to me are: Scent and movement, with scent being first, scent will alarm a deer before you even know they are in the area, movement being the 2nd factor when they are close enough to sense danger. Noise can be a curiousity thing until they are close enough to use there noses or catch you moving at the wrong time.

In my opinion if you can cover up your scent, keep the movement down to a minimum and stay quiet, then your appearance is not a factor at all.

Good luck.......

I would have to agree with Pat. The color you wear inside a blind does not much matter from my experience. Movement can be your worst enemy.
