Remington 7400 30-06 spr Question

Ok guys I aquired a rifle and it needs a severe breakdown and cleaning.  I am having problems getting the barrel off.  If there is anyone familiar with this semi auto please pm me.  I want to get it done so I can get to the range and get it ready for next weekend so I have a back up.

Your best bet is take it to a gunsmith and have him do the cleaning job as it is
not the easiest job to take it apart and then put it back togather correctly.
For now shoot the action with Gun Scrubber or brake cleaner and then blow it
out with your air compressor.  To lubricate it use a little bit of Brake Free.

I didnt get the barrel off on the other hand I got it fairly clean and the action moves a hell of a lot faster.  I did manage to get the chamber pretty good also, after season I am taking it in...You seem quite knowledgeable are you a smith yourself?

I am not a gunsmith, but I do have a bit of knowledge of them and how they
operate.  It has only taken about 66years to get to this point.
