I was wondering if deer can smell anything from a propane, because later this season if it gets really cold I was going to use a little propane heater in a ground blind.  Is this a good idea or am I not going to see anything if I do this haha.

keep the wind in your favor and let'er buck.  make sure you vent the blind properly though, safety first.

If the heater will keep you in the field instead of the house it will increase your odds of harvest. I use one when I have the kids out on cold days with limited success from downwind. They emit co2 just like mammals.

I would say Ken is on the money. If it keeps you out there, I will guaranty your chances of seeing a deer are better that one walking into the cabin. But I would not turn it on until I was getting cold. Besides if you don’t get a little cold your not hunting.
