I thought this would be fun to see if any of you bring a lucky charm with you out hunting.  Or do you have a certain ritual or superstition that you HAVE to do each opener?

I've answered this before in a thread from a long time ago...so some of you already know this. (And I haven't heard the end of it since I told it the first time, so I have nothing to loose!)  So I will start out.
....Every year on opening deer hunting morning, I wear my lucky "orange underwear".  You are all probably laughing at me, but they haven't failed me yet!!

And, just so no one thinks Im out there in an orange thong or anything, Picture them more like granny panties...I know, big turn on huh? You need to go over to the Pout for that stuff!!  Im a 40 year old mom of three and well it get's cold out there, and I want my bootie to stay as warm as possible.  ;D

So what do you do, use, bring, or wear as your lucky charm?

GG you're so funny.  The blaze orange undies.   :rotflmao:  Yeah I should get me some of them.  For now I only got one tradition and its applied more during bow hunting.  On the insidie of my bow case are a few little prayers so I got God fresh on my mind as Im heading out.  I say a little prayer thanking him for the great beauty of nature and when Im in stand, I pray that today is my day.

OK not a "lucky" charm but it does make me feel more relaxed and confident.

Grute, it may not be a lucky charm, but if it is what makes you feel relaxed and confident, then that's all that matters!  Everybody has their own thing.  I also bring a little plastic screw thingy with me in my pocket each year.  I never take it out.  My little boy gave it to me when he was about three years old, said it was a lucky bullet.  I've never shot a deer without it.

Sorry for making you feel less than your best.  This might help -- I don't shave for about a week ahead of time.   ;D   :rotflmao:

Don't worry GG your not the only one that wears lucky underware!

I always have to wear my lucky yellow underware with a big smiley face on them!  :rotflmao:  One of my best friends was killed 2 years ago and he always use to tease me about my yellow underware, he was always my good luck charm and now that he's gone I feel better wearing them, especially at deer hunting time which was his favorite!

The only thing I make sure I have with me when Iam out during the firearm season is my lucky bullet.  I found the bullet that shot my big boy lodged in the opposite side rib cage after I gutter the animal and it is always in my pocket when I hunt.  My buddy gives me a ration of  :censored: but it is always there when I am filling my tag and his!  We also never say "Good Luck" or "Good luck to ya" when we seperate for our stands.  Not really sure why, but it is almost become a deer camp swear word!  We usually say "Have fun!"
