ROADS:
We currently have roads to Shaw's Reef, 2 Mile, Big Point, and 4 Mile. It has been VERY cold and the ice has been thickening to a point that you will often need extensions on your ice Augers.

FISHING:
Walleye have turned on GREAT in the 30'+ waters of Big Point, 2 Mile and 4 Mile!  Rental and Private houses in these areas have been very pleased with their takes! We are seeing a lot in the 10" - 14" size.

TRUCKS:
Our incredible fleet of trucks are all retired diesel military trucks.  Six M1008's (1 1/4 Ton Pickups), one M35 (2 1/2 Ton Cargo truck), and one M818 (5 Ton Tractor/Semi Truck). SEMPER FI!
5 ton not pictured...

ICE ROADS:
Here's a link to a current map of our ice roads
http://www.fishermenswharfmn.com/Pictures/2008-2009-Ice-Roads.jpg

If you were to drive all of our Main ice roads, plan for a 34.8 mile trip.  It takes an average of 8-9 passes on each main road to plow after a standard snowfall (300 miles of plowing!)  It takes 3 times the number of passes to initially create the roads (900 Miles of plowing!)  By the end of the season we will have made and maintained over 700 "driveways" off of these main roads.

Extensions! That's the first I've heard of them this season!  :happy1: (it's a good thing)  Great report-I especially like the road map.   :happy1:

I just ate at the Wharf.  Fishing has been kind of slow here.  We have two perch two eelpout and one walleye since last night.
