With the close of the walleye season fishermen and women up here in Ely have turned their attention to either trout or crappies, and the trout have been the most cooperative.
Limits of rainbows are coming out of Tofte, and there has been some good activity on Burntside and Snowbank for lakers.
The usual spots for crappie are producing some good numbers. Try Johnson, One Pine, Bear Island
and Bass.
