Has anyone heard about this yet?  There is an article in the new edition of Outdoor Life about this new league.  They have two deer hunting tournaments planned on a fenced in ranch in Michigan this year.  The deer will be shot with a tranquilzer so they can measure them and then release them later on.  I guess they want to make it more like a fishing tournament.  I'm sure you can guess there are more than a few people that are not happy about this.  I did not see the story on their website at all, but here is a link to a related article.  http://www.huntingnet.com/news/news.aspx?news_id=594

shot and release... interesting.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

they make it sound safe but we know its not good for the deer to be stressed out like that.
I don't personally agree with it but at least there not another group of anti hunters.

I just wish there was a way to make the world see and know the difference between these people along with the people who shoot bears in small fenced in areas.Compared to real sportsmen.
You know how to tell the difference bettween a sportsman and the other guy. A sportsman can tell all of his or hers hunting story's without lying or losing there pride.
Are you a hunter or do you just kill things? Respect the wildlife!
