how many of you are going to start shooting the bow? i say to be deadly by bow season you should start now  :archery:  also i was wondering if anyone else sets up a treestand and shoots out of that at all? you know adjusting your angles and stuff so that you can pass through the vitals and know what your doing. we usually do this a month before opener and shoot at 3D targets and bottle caps to really fine tune our skills. you never think about your angle much until you actually shoot a target and see where that arrow passes. i also try shooting from all angles, sitting, standing, hunching, and estimating distances.

what else do you do to get ready for the season
my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!

i set-up the stand in the backyard and shoot that way most of the summer. im already deadly but theres always room for improvement in my eyes. as for distances that is what i bought the rangefinder for  :whistling:

I usually shoot twice a week, although last year I didn't this year I am geared up and can't wait to start flinging arrows. We usually head to a friends place every other week who has two tree stands behind his house. I too also practice shooting standing, sitting, from the ground on my knees, etc...just in case.
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

i shoot pretty much all year round now its a lot easier but i shoot mostly on the ground from different positions seeing as thats where i do most of my hunting(i'm a spot and stalk kinda guy) so i shoot a lot of awkward positions like around a tree cuz the deer always walk in from behind lol

I shoot all year round. keep three differnt tree stand up and I have two ground blinds I keep up at one of my hunting spots. When I go bull  :censored: with my dad I will go out back and shhot off the stands.

I try to shoot three times a week at least 5 arrows off the deck from 20 to 60 yards. I keep my deer targets out in the back yard all year.

I usually shoot year round myself. Not much more than 2 or 3 times a month during the winter, but I will start shooting a bit more now.
