If any of you haven't gotten a copy "Jims Favorite Comfort Foods, Volume 1" from another forum yet, let me know if you'd like one.? It's in Word and I'll send it as an email attachment.? I've made and adapted every recipe in here, so all you have to do is follow how its written when you see something interesting.? Anyone can make these.

In exchange, all I ask is for you to send back one of your favorite recipes for me to try.? No matter how simple or difficult, I'm always looking for new stuff to try.? Main dish, salad, desert, side dish - doesn't matter.? Still looking for some goodies to pass the test and make it into Volume 2.

Kills me, but I tried 4 new things this week from TV shows, the paper, web sites, ect. and none of them passed the mustard.? One was a Baby Back Rib recipe (from Emeril) I tried and came close, but will need to try again with a couple of adjustments to get it into the Vol. 2.? It takes a long time to come up with 30 recipes that would go into the "EXCELLENT, I"LL FEED THIS TO COMPANY "
category that all the recipes in Volume 1 are qualified for. (That's just my humble opinion, though)

Here's 2 samples - If you can't make these - Stay out of the kitchen and never go back. ;D

Sloppy Joes- You'll never buy Manwich again
1 lb Hamburger
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 chopped green pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or 1-2 cloves chopped garlic)
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
3/4 cup ketchup
3 teaspoons brown suger
Salt & pepper to taste

1.? Brown Ground Beef, onion, & green pepper.? Drain liquid
2.? Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes

Stove Top Breaded Pork Chops - Quick,? Easy, & Tasty.

4 Pork Chops
1 medium onion, cut in rings
1 Cup bread crumbs
1 Can Cream Mushroom Soup
Mustard
1 can of mushrooms (optional)

Coat chops in mustard, then dip into bread crumbs.? Brown chops in olive oil on both sides.
Cover with onions, mushrooms, and soup.? Cover pan and cook for 30-35 minutes.

Serve with stuffing on the side!

My initial response was to sue her for defamation of character, but then I realized that I had no character.

I do not have a copy of the recipe book you mentioned.? But I'll give you a recipe to try out (if you haven't already).?

Take a package of chicken thighs (thawed), and place them in a tupperware container.? Then cover the chicken with soy sauce.? Add some chopped onions, and cover it.? Place this in the fridge (I prefer overnight-but throughout the day will do).? Get your grill ready, and cook up the chicken.? Use the marinade and baste the chicken if you like.? Otherwise toss it down the drain.? If you want to add a lil zest to it, add some orange juice to the marinade.? It's a nice change from regular grilled chicken, bbq'd chicken, and any of the same ol' ways you grill chicken.? You can also cook this in the frying pan this way too.? (Cuz -30 degrees is just too dern cold to be outside trying to grill! ;D

Please send the recipe book to my e-mail.  (on profile)  Thanks!
