As of June 5, 2009 Outdoors Weekly is under new ownership and as we undergo restructuring the weekly printed paper has been suspended.

The assets to the company have been purchased by Northern Star Publishing. We will be focusing on www.outdoorsweekly.com and great things are in the works for the print version of Outdoors Weekly, which will be reintroduced in July.

The web site will continue to be updated on a weekly basis, so please keep checking www.outdoorsweekly.com for updates!

We appreciate your loyalty as a reader of Outdoors Weekly and most importantly we appreciate your patience as Outdoors Weekly goes through reorganization.

Well that sucks!
Marry an outdoors woman. Then if you throw her out into the yard on a cold night, she can still survive.

actually it's good... new(old) owner might be better.

Maybe the new (old) owner will go back to the old format with more articals and info rather that so much advertizement.

I quit my subscription and stopped buying it after they started all the adds, don't mind a few sprinckled here and there or a full page at the back but every single page had tons of adds.

Very true, hope it works out. I don't subscribe, but have read it in the past. Seems like you can never have enough outdoor magazines, but I can see the situation it was put in regarding revenue. Seems like more newspapers/mags are folding left and right. Damned internet!
