Friday 6/5/09 report:

Met up with frequent flyers Roy Seeger and son Nolan at 5:00 am. After a brief refresher course it was off to the races. Nolan was a bit gun shy about putting on his own crawlers. After a bit of tuff love he figured put um on or watch us fish. Somehow he was able to overcome his worm phobia after his dad hooked the first bass.

After managing to single handed knock of a large box of donut holes Nolan started to apply the skills he had learned on last years trip nailing some dandy smallies. Mostly we stuck with fishing the north shore in 16 ft with a quick look see at 20/23 ft every once and a while. We managed a mixed bag of S/M & L/M bass today.

Were already looking at post spawn for most of the smallies and some red tailed largemouth bass. The bite seems to have become more aggressive as of late after a brief period a finicky pattern. Most of the bass are still hanging in shallow and looking to chow.

*God invented the fishing rod to keep the truly gifted from ruling the world. :doah:

See ya on the water,
