ill be out there again this weekend, and ask again of any smaller lakes that will give up pike, that would be eater sizes, my dad really enjoys them so we would like to try again for some. or any news on the walleye bit? green is always a option, but we want to keep it a smaller lake. or any lakes giving up crappies and sunfish, because we are taking out my 4 year old cousin on saturday and thats what we will be targeting then. any help will be greatly appreciated.

I was out on Norway Lakes a couple weeks ago.  Fishing was terribly slow.  Surface water temp was at 70.8.  Fished off the dock just a couple hours last weekend.  Nothing there either.  Usually the lakes will always give up a few bass and pike (and of course Sheepshead), but very slow lately.  Maybe the rain will shake things up.  I didn't try for any panfish.  Good luck! :happy1:

I would give Lake Andrew a shot or Florida.  Usually a northern is to be found there and the sunfish are a plenty.

Well I haven't been out in 2 weeks.  But most of my fishing is done from 10PM to 4AM and it has been great pulling raps in 5-6 ft of water.  But I'm going to have to wait until the end of august for the weeds to die off a bit.  The last time I was out i spent more time pulling weeds around and taking them off then fishing.  My day time fishing is usually with the kids out on Long Lake by Hawick.  You can't help but catch sunfish there.

was out on waganga(sp) off of 71 on friday with no luck, lots of fish in 11 FOW but no takers, we tryed everything, werent sure if they were eyes or not. the lake was very very shallow could not get the boat in at the one landing had to pull the thing off the trailer, lucky we were going out of the small boat. then packed it in and went to nest and caught alot of nice sunfish to keep the little cousin busy. through some raps and spinners but no pike and lots of weeds.

Waganga froze out last year.  The DNR pulled every game fish out of there that they could catch and threw them into a near by lake.  I'm betting all you were seeing was carp, but I'm sure they didn't get them all.

i didnt know, we only spent like a hour out there. the water was nasty and stinky, dont think i would of kept anything out of that lake. i guess the word thats going around that the sewer is leading into that lake somehow. but thats just what my stepmoms uncle said. i really like nest lake though, seems to be the only lake that has any depth to it.  :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Nothing like comparing swamps to swamps huh?  :rotflmao: You need to come down this way and do some fishing! The lakes might be green or worse but atleast there is fish in them !  :rotflmao:

Hey Cody I just noticed on another site that the weekend you were around here fishing and you were asking for advice and I said Lake Andrew.  Some others did pretty well that same day there for slough shark.  What did you think I was giving you bad advice?   ;)

I haven't ever caught many pike on point (haven't ever tried either though).  But I do fish for bass every once in a blue moon out there and I've caught some nice eyes out there too 10 years ago.  I base a good northern lake by the number of them I catch by accident fishing for eyes or bass.  Point has been a zero for me.  I have a really sick bass and northern lake, that I haven't fished in a few years, but on a good day 50-100 fish for the boat was possible.  But I'd have to show you that one in person. :sorry:
