Yeah, it wouldve been nice to get sombody in a trade for him last year, of course it was hard to do with him being injured, but they could have done somthing in the off season. But they should have seen it comming with the big rift with Gabby's agent and that other croanie of theirs that got banned from the excel center... At least they got a damn good hired gun in Havlat(sp?) and it sounds like theyre working on getting Mikou Koivu's older brother, Sakou (again, sp?) from the Canadians... but it seems like thats a big leap being he was their captain last year.... but who knows?  I think theyre gonna be a better team than last year, and it sounds like the new GM is making the right moves so far, except for not getting Gabby to stay here.  Im gonna miss him... dont remember anyone that fast since Mike Gartner with the North Stars, who also won the fastest skater competition at an all-star game, as did Gaborik, I think Gabby was a little more explosive than Gartner, Gabby seem almost stealth fast, very deceptive ... didnt seem like he was in high gear, but would just completely smoke people, even around the outside... I just hope they get Koivu... It'll make it much easier to forget Gabby flying the coup....

Alsom got a pair of legit hard nosed defensemen sign to boot!  That a really good thing.... does this mean bye-bye to Martian Skoula? (and his losing the puck in his own zone antics)  Looks like they bolstered the blue line so the whole dang team doesnt have to go into the ole D-fensive shell 100% of the time.... Still waiting on Saku's decision....

getting rid of skoula would be like gaining a player in my opinion...

  I agree, he has gotten better the last year or so, but man, he still always seems to panick and give the puck away at the worst possible times... not a good trait for a defenseman in the pros.....
