Anybody been on the St.Croix lately? I was thinking on hitting it tommorow &
was wondering if there is any kind of bite going on for Walleyes or smallies.
I will be putting the boat in at Afton & will be fishing that area. Also what's the
water level like? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Read my updates in the St. Croix/Mississippi forum. Post there every week.

Right now I've had success handling with cranks. You can also run cranks on a three way. Put a 2 oz weight on about 18" from the thre way and tie the three way to your line. Then put a 3-4' leeder on the other end of the three way and tie your rap. Floating raps and x-raps are the way to go. Firetiger is workig pretty well right now.
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.

Never went after them. More of a walleye guy.
