June 9th and water is 9 degrees cooler then what it was on May 21st  Who took summer and where are they hiding it? :banghead:  Fishing has been slow for me, I am catching fish but having to work for them. Been a windy and cold Spring. I just hope I don't miss summer when those three days come!

just think of it this way... two weeks from now it'll be like a second opener.

I second that!  And it'll be hot, humid and downright miserable soon enough!

Being that I havent hit a lake yet, and am stuck in a yardwork/landscaping "rut", I aint complaining!  Its perfect weather to be doing that stuff. :happy1:  That and the skeeters only come out for a few minutes at the end of the day, then vanish as its too cold out for em... :happy1:

I hadn't even heard a mosquito until last night - and I killed him.

No doubt, the guys in the Arrowhead, Duluth (like Bobby) and environs have really gotten the short end of the stick. We've seen glimpses of summer (it was 99 in Owatonna a couple weeks ago) but someone keeps monkeying with the thermostat. We had a high of 50 just the other day. There are some positives like the lack of mosquitoes, the bountiful harvest of cool season vegetables, and crops progressing slowly enough so there is not a rush to get things sprayed. Slow crop progress will turn into a negative soon if it doesn't get it's poop in a group however and that leads to crabby farmers. Think I'd rather take my chances with the mosquitoes. They go away when it freezes. :bonk:

Sometime over night Summer was returned! I woke up this morning to a clear sunny sky and by early afternoon it was in the high 80's More of the same for the rest of the week. You can almost hear the grass grow and the sound of the AC chugging away is long over due. Water will finally warm up here and I will predict fishing will improve just in time for Borgie and Lee's vacation.  :happy1:
