hey all,

First off I am sorry for posting this request so late.

My wife, kids and I have lived here for the past 10 (ten) years, my son (14 years old) and I have just taken up rifle hunting 2 years ago and would love an opportunaty to bow hunt this season.

Unfortunately, I know absolutely nobody in Minnesota with land to hunt on. I have heard it is a nightmare to hunt on public land.

Is there by chance someone out here I could talk to about hunting on thier property? Or would anyone know of someone I could talk to about hunting on thier land? My son and I would only want 1 venison steak, jerky and summer sausage, the pwner of the property would receive the rest of the venison as a thank you for allowing us to hunt there.

Thank you in advvance.

Respectfully

Kevin Lapp

Public land is not a nightmare. Pick your spots, and be the guy who is willing to do the extra work to get in farther than the other guys....Some of the largest bucks killed every year is on state land/public land....

I do have to ask, why are you looking for permission two days before season starts?

I would not recommend public for gun but for archery, it is not so bad. I would recommend wrapping some orange around you tree above your head (grouse hunters)
Are you a hunter or do you just kill things? Respect the wildlife!

One of the biggest deers shot around here last year was shot on public land during slug season. I've shot a 8 pointer on public land with my bow also. Good luck.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.  If
you can't eat it or hump it.

Piss on it and walk away
