I have spoke with a few of my connections up on Leech, since I havn't been able to make it up there for awhile, and it sounds like the fishing has been pretty good for walleyes.? They have also said that most of the fish are being caught in the evening when they can get out, since it's been so windy.?
Leech has not been getting the credit that it really deserves.? Yes, the walleye population has really gone down, but they are really working to fix this problem.? While fishing Leech this past year, I have caught a large amount of walleyes on the lake.? It has been a much better night bite than day bite, but I have also caught several walleyes during the day.? The northern and bass fishing on the lake has been unbelievable!!? You can go out and catch'em all day long, with some very big northerns hooked on the end of your line.
In the next couple of years, you will really see that this lake is going to turn into a real walleye factory!? ?
