Wallace River. Dumps into the Skykomish River. Off of highway 2 going over Stevens Pass. Yeah told the wife wish I was back in MN again. Spent some time there when I was a teenager, lived with my uncle. I miss Minnesota!!

oh, i was over west, out in Silverdale. But a buddy was from Othello, near the tri-cities and his parents owned a big potato farm out there... man, talk about great pheasant and goose hunting

Yes it would be you! I know haven't been ice fishing since. Would love to go again. Still got the picture of my first fish out ice fishing. Getting tried of this damn state. Been looking for work in Montana and still working on the wife about moving to Minnesota. She says it's to cold! LOL Like Montana is no different. But seriously going to have to come back and hunt with you wildlifeminnesota!

My uncle works in the Bozemann/Belgrade area and says the economy has stayed pretty steady there the past couple years. Not as many housing developments, but enough to stay busy for a full crew. It's tough in MT for work, but it is warmer than MN!

I don't care about warmer, just the wife does. But she'd love the summers there in MN.

22lex, I do not know about that.It been nice here so far this winter in MN, My brother live in N.W MT and he was tell that he thou it was about the same as MN.

Yes wassnowman I still have that photo to I was going to put it up on my last post,But it on my home computer not the stores. I will try to put it up to night. That with you and the bass out on dead lake. That was the first time you walking on water.  I have taking a lot of new Ice walker out and I always  About it. And it more  went I drive them.

Yeah, my uncle who live in the "bowl" outside of Bozemann said the winters are alot more moderate than MN's just cause of the Temp.

Yeah you were laughing when we drove out on the ice. Scared the hell out me, but oh well good times. This time I won't flinch when we go out LOL. Like to see how my boy reacts, now that would be funny!! Yeah just found the pic, but no scanner. 22lex anywhere is better than this damn liberal state. Heading out in the am for more fishing salmon fishing on the river.

Ok At home now.Here is the photos.  Yes it did Scared the hell out of you, It will Scared your boy too, But that a good thing. It should because you will all ways remember that there is no safe ice. I know been there done that. I fell in a spear hole as I was cutting it. That Scared the hell out of me. But that ice fishing is fun.  Lot of good time out here!!  I can't remember how many people I have taken out on the ice the first time it a lot I know that.  :fishing2: :fishing2: :fishing2:

22lex, My bother hunted out by Bozemann That is south form my bother house live close to Kalispell He work for power Co, in flathead I will look for that photo of my bother and a nice buck that was taken on this land, I think he as 73 aces I think it was last year, He also hunted there Minnesota about six year ago and got a 8 point for this trophy wall.

Yep that's it. That was also my first day in Minnesota. Remember you picked me up at the greyhound station. Went to your house got some warm clothes on and off we went. Ahh miss those days. Will do 22lex, Wife got my bait so up early and off I go  :fishing2:

This is a buck that a friend shot from our property, and OUR tree stand, how do you like that?
Guy comes up here, first time up, sits in our tree stand for 10 mins, sees this, go figure?

You keep hunting and you will get a trophy some day like these. It will happen!! It take time and some time it take 10 minn. That why I will not live back there. the Laws suck!!

Oh man I tell you it's getting ugly on are regulations. One late season hunt for modern in the N.E. corner and man reading the regs is like stero instructions. Pretty much have to have regs on you at all times as one side of the road is open and the other side is closed, one any buck an the other 3 points only. All muley deer is a 3 point min. It's a freakin joke. 3 of us hunted for deer and nothing, 2 hunters for elk an nothing. We plan on hunting Idaho or Montana next season as it will cost the same or less and we will actually get a chance to get something.

Yes I do thank you. Yeah after dad pasted away started making a family hunting and fishing album. Just something to look thru from time to time. And got some friends who don't hunt but love looking at the pics of all of us and ask if I got new pics. LOL

Sweet. Let me know. Is land still pretty cheap there. Would love land just for hunting. Been trying to get my buddys to do something like that. Yeah the public land here is a joke. All gated off.

This about 1800. a ace Not as cheap as when you was out here!!  When I first got here it was 200. to 250 and ace and swamp land was 150. an ace I wish I would have don it back then!!

Yeah that is a little spendy, but not as bad as here. Seems the popularity of hunting has grown a little and lots of people buying land just for the purpose of having somewhere to hunt. Well heck when I can get my finaces back in order and the wife and I get back to work, I'll have to throw some money in a savings account. Sucks being laid off. We both got laid off the same week.
