Mille Lacs WMA, not bad for so close in and tons of road hunters.

Well I decided to roll up to MAWMA and check out the duck hunting there.

I did some on line scouting and located a pond that I could walk to with the dog and find it for the first time in the dark.

We set up just a couple mallard deks as I didn't want to bring the boat in.

Right at shooting time I got buzzed by a pair of woodies, took one, then about ten minutes later here came this guy walking in with a Chessi, his dog lit into Mandy so I ended up wrecking my little weed cover to get them separated.

I asked the guy why he didn't bother to call off his dog, his stupid response was that he thought his dog would not hurt mine that she just wanted to play.
Dam if that's play time I hate to see his dog mad.

Well he went on his way, as I set back down and was trying to get the weeds back up a little , nice ring bill floated down from above.

Didn't see it till it set on the water, it never flew till it swam out of range.

One lone goose came over, called it around for look then took it with some "Dead Coyote" T shot.Man that stuff has penetration.

Well had to meet my folks at the Casino for lunch so I pulled the plug and headed in.
After a quick change to street cloths ,I was off to eat lunch and waste money.

I see the weather is going to change for some cold now, that should push more in from the North.
