It looked like it was going to be one of the last warm sunny days for a while so I went grouse hunting.  We hunted areas I have not hunted for a number of years.  We had 9 flushes and got one bird (that's about my average) in three hours of hunting.  It was still a great day in the woods.  Can't wait to try again.

If I had a shotgun while deer hunting I could have had a few dozen.  My only regret from this years deer season was not bringing the camera out into the stand with me.  Had one roost in the tree next to me for about 30 min.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

Yep Deadeye... what a great way to spend a fall day... nothing better for me!  I had thirteen flushes in a day and a half, five of them on the last bird, came away with no birds in the game bag, but it was still too much fun for a guy and his dog to handle... and a wolf pee'd on my tent to boot!  I figure thats either a fitting end to getting skunked, or I got a good accceptance award....(and a soggy tent)  :rotflmao:
