I had all 5 sleds started yesterday...just had the hear them run and smell that 2 stroke Amsoil.

Going to start going over them one at a time greasing, tightening all bolts, washing, Etc.

Alot better to do this kinda thing now, then when it's already cold out and your fingers won't work

 Later, Chuck

Now yer talking!  I plan to do a little less fishing and a lot more riding this year.  That is if we have the snow to ride on.  I sure hope so. :)

How much maintenance is there with a sled? I've been entertaining the idea of a sled/atv and was curious what it costs to keep them running year to year.

 Not much anymore these days

Normal stuff like greasing, checking over bolts, nuts, track tention, belt, ware rods(carbides)

My wife has about 4000 miles on her 1996 Ski-doo and other than a few spark plugs and one belt, it's been trouble free

My 2004 Ski-doo 600HO Rev still has the org. spark plugs, belt everything. three years and not a single thing has needed attention other than normal maitance.

They are good machines today, no matter the brand.

Ya!? I run old junk - early to mid 90's Polaris's and they are trouble free other than normal wear parts.? They are great compared to the late 60's early 70's machines that I grew up with.? I was always wrenching on them and do not miss that one bit.

There was a saying "You had to work on them for days in order to ride them for a few minutes"? Kinda like another frustrating subject in mens lives.?
