Short walk after work tonight

Made it out after work tonight for a short walk with the dog.? Small private piece found me missing the first three birds I saw.? Finally collected one at the end.? Went to a WMA not far away and Duey locked up tight on a small tuft of grass next to a fence post.? We were walking with the wind along the edge so we could walk the good cover on the way back.? Duey is a lab with pointing traits and I have never seen him locked up so tight.? The tuft of grass was so small you wouldn't think the big mature rooster that came busting out of there? could have been in there.? Walked the bird up with Duey still on point, One shot later we were done.? Total time out of the truck was about 50 minutes.? These are the good old days, right now
