Modern inventions that may have impacted your hunting both good and bad

 For me

 1-GPS...Now anybody that can use one of these things, can venture into areas that they were too afraid of getting lost in before

 2-satelite photos- again, these things can give people a view of areas that were almost untouched before these picture were available-but most of us have used them, including myself

 3- ATV's they help people get to areas once too far to walk into. Again, getting people into areas where it was once impossable for most..but most of us have one(atleast), including me

 4- Mud motors, these are the fourwheel drive ATV of the marsh. they will get you into the thickest of rice..which i'm not sure on the legal use of them yet. if you read the rules in the rising laws. It's against the law to destroy or damage the rice plants...A fine line indeed

The internet Has informed cidiots where all the good hunting and fishing is

Coupled with all the things you have mentioned has allowed the cidiots (pro-nounced sid-ee-ots) to trample and 4 wheel their way thru the back woods where many of us used to hunt / fish in relative peace.

Fishaholic consider ur self lucky when I was 18 I had about 24 farms to exclusivly hunt deer on. (approx 4700 acres of prime stuff) Now all but one have been sold to cidiots. The only plus is that now when they want the coon thinned out I'm not afraid to let them know what it costs them.

For me it was getting my first 4-10 shotgun 33 years ago.? Mean't I didn't have to rely on snaring to get me some wassgelly wabbits when I was a kid.

Still did love to snare, though, even after getting that gun.

I don't really hunt anymore, so none of the modern stuff has affected me one way or another.

Fishahollick, I agree with you %100 and have plenty to add,,,,however I get so pissed when I think of some of the crap all that comes out is.

 snare? that reminds me of a story.

 Some years ago a nieghbor of mine(past away in a auto accident) was in his yard of his farm house. when he heard a dog raising he11 out in the woods. He went to investigate to what was up. He found another nieghbors yellow lab in a snare and he was about dead. He had to shoot him to stop his suffering.

 He took the snare to the owner of the dog, threw it on the table and said I had to shoot your dog. he was in this snare and just about dead.

 He said, find who's snare this is and you'll know who killed your dog.

 just then the dog owners son-inlaw came in the room and picked up the snare and said, HEY THATS MY SNARE, WHERE DID YOU GET IT

 WOW! that fur flew then...didn't speak for more than a year

 Sorry to jack my own thread, just had to tell that story
