I was up on the Gunflint today on a service call. On the way back I blew a tire about 20 miles north of G.M. Very narrow and soft shoulder. I got pulled off as far as I could. I am in the middle of changing the tire and the third car (none of the first two stopped or even slowed down) slows down and yells at me to "get the hell off the road". Not like you'd wanna ask someone if they were ok, or needed help.

Good thing I couldn't get up fast enough or I woulda thrown the tire tool through his back window.

It is pretty sad that people don't have time to help a person in need.

Isn't it a great world we live in today...who taught these people this?

I would have been jumping up and down on his hood and ripping both his windshield wipers off, if the chicken chit would have had the nards to stop.

To me, it's the material world many live in today. Who needs to stop and help somebody?

 Whats in it for me?

Wouldn't it be nice just once to see that same person up the road and they ran over the same thing that gave you, your flat?

Except I would stop where he had his flat and Blast him/her in person and enjoy it

What really frosts my walnuts is that if I had a dollar for every time I have stopped to help others I coulda called a tow truck and have them come out and change it for me.

It didn't bother me so much no-one stopped. I never expect anyone too stop. Besides, at first glance one could reasonably assume I am a big boy and can change a tire, but then to yell at me to get off the road! THAT really whizzed me off.

If I see a guy on the road changing his tire I don't stop to ask if he needs help.  I just assume he's a guy and he can do it himself  ;)

But I have the common courtesy to slow down and give him as much room as possible... then I yell " Hey, Get the hell off the road!!"  Just kidding.  He was probably drunk and pissed that he had to go home to a mean wife.
