ok went out bow hunting, 6:30p.m saw a deer a doe then WOW I hear a riffle go off close by me.
Yes a RIFFLE for gad sack. Juust not 1 time it was a hole clip round.. the deer went and I got down. Got into my car a tracked the riffle down, it was my nabor down the road. People that dont live here just come up to visit, and it was not the first time of this going on.
I asked him what he was doing in the woods with a riffle,he said practicing shooting,  I said Im deer hunting and please stop this shooting and he shouldnt be in the woods anyway with a riffle.
If it happens again ill call someone.

Im sorry to hear about the spooked dear, but unfortunately if they were on your neighbors land, there is nothing you can do about it since they are not on your land  :banghead:.  Hopefully if they were just visiting they wont be shooting (or they have their rifle sighted in now) - that deer will be back!
GOOD LUCK!   :green archer:

You see he wasent on his own land is was down and across the road at a nothers nabors land shooting , facing my house.
He was not on his land at all , he was on privete property with a I belive a aslalt rifle,he ran 2 clips out.
Its not about the deer its about safty to others, and being out there with a rifle.

If he is out of city limits and has the permission to be there he is ok. If he doesn't have permission, he is trespassing.

The laws state"
" No person may possess a firearm or ammunition outdoors during
the period beginning the fifth day before the open firearms season and
ending the second day after the close of the season within an area where
deer may be legally taken by firearms including the early antlerless deer
season (see page 25), except:
• A person who has a valid firearms big game license in possession
may hunt big game during the open season with a firearm and
ammunition authorized for big game."

So, it's legal for someone to have a rifle in the field other times.

Im archery hunting and we have alot of grouce hunters out there the day he was out there shooting, it was not just one time he did it 2 times that day. Everyone said he cant be out there with a rifle just going into the woods just for fun, plus it was right tord my house that is why I was so mad, I was in my stand and thought I may get hit by a stray bullet.
I want to thank you all to get your feelings about this. I thought it was not right.
Have a great day

Not to argue, but I use a rifle down in SE MN for coyotes pretty much whenever it's not deer season, and 'yote hunting is year 'round.

That being said, as for the assault rifle comments and firing in the direction of your house, you definately have a gripe there and I would be finding out what the crap is going on.
