Good deal!  It's been a while since I hunted in a lottery area, but I do rember the thrill of getting drawn for a permit.

Good job BiggA, our group went 1 for 4 this year.  Our area went from 1800 doe permits last year to only 500 this year.  Now I at least know where we stand and can take a nice doe if I get a chance archery wise. :archery:

Congrats on the doe tag.  Our group went 1 for 9 this year, and they also gave out less.  The zone to the north of us is intensive harvest and the zone to the south is managed.  I'm thinking I thank the wolves for the lower numbers.  Get em a nice big lead cake

I also recieved one - but I will be bow hunting well before shotgun, so I could get a doe anways - I think our group went 3 for 3, but I think 1800 are given out in our zone and no one got one last year!

I really needed this permit this year. We hunted this place last year without doe tags and I seen 22 deer opening weekend and only one was a buck. He was a yearling with about 6 inch spikes. Being that I no longer have bow hunting land and the public land I tried hunting I seen more grouse dogs and hunters than deer venison was hard to come by last year.
My dad and I were both drawn this year!
