A friend sent me this picture with the attached story - Not sure if this is photo shopped and an internet urban legend or the real thing.

This is freaking scary.  As you know I was alone when I downed this elk in ND.  I was using my camera’s timer attached to my shooting stick to give me enough time to get into the picture.  I knew there were a lot of cats in the area but had no idea they would come in this close to people.  He had to be within 10 feet of me and I didn’t even know it.  I about crapped my pants when I looked at the pictures the next morning and saw he was there.

If it is photoshopped they did a good job. look how the branch goes across his head.

I got this pic in an email the other day.  Looked real scary at first but I'm pretty sure it is a photoshopped image.  If you zoom in real far you see a black outline around the leaves that are in front of the cougar.  that says to me that they were erasing that part of the cougar to make it look like it was behind those leaves.  The cougar is also blurrier than the surrounding image when you zoom in.  Nice try though

Fake.  You can see the chopped edge off the right rear hip, looks flat and not curved like it should be.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.
