Shot my personal best on opening morning.  I figure he is 3 1/2 yrs, a nice 10 pointer.  Didn't get to weigh it but it was a big body deer, lots of good meat.  Was in my stand for about half an hour and he came sneaking up on me.  Last year I had shot my biggest buck up to that point in the same stand at about the same time.  I don't think i'll ever be moving the stand.  They seem to be getting bigger every year.  There is a small point coming off his base on his left side to make it a 10.  I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.  Headed back up this weekend to try for one more.

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

Nothing like getting a bigger one each year.  Good luck.

NICE BUCK!   :deer:  Its always nice to keep getting mature bucks, I have been very grateful to do the same the last few years, but I have a feeling it will come down one of these years (I HOPE NOT THOUGH)
Good luck this weekend, maybe he has an older brother out there!

Where abouts are you hunting?  I am curious where everyone is located around the state!

Thanks guys.  This is my 15th year hunting and its really starting to pay off.  Like I said I'm feelin really lucky after this.  I'm going to try an European mount and see how it turns out.  I hunt in 176, between Virginia and Tower.  Our party consists of 10 people and we have a tradition of whoever gets the biggest buck gets this big buck tie (just a tie with big bucks on it) for that year til the next season.  I'm hoping this is my year.  Good luck to everybody
