New from ATI for 2010

Need a field tester in SD for this upcoming hardwater season?  My two boys (ages 14 & 11) and I hit a lot of western SD lakes around the Black Hills.  Let me know.  Thanks!

Went out late today rigged and ready with the ATI Lac Seul jig. The 12 inch perch were hammering the heck out of it for a couple hours. Had it rigged with fathead minnows. The action finally stopped for a while. After about 15 to 20 minutes I rerigged with a fresh fathead. Sent it back down and waited for about another 5 minutes and them SLAM! Something really nailed it and started stripping line off the reel. Managed to reel it in a ways but whatever it was took another run. Fought it back and forth for a little while and my 6 lb test I was using gave up on me. I never did get it close enough to the hole to see what it was. Guessing probably a northern. Unfortunately I lost the Lac Seul jig. Now I have only one. If I lose this next one I may have to buy a stash of them buggers. Sorry, didn't get any pictures of the perch either. About a week ago I finally got around to buying a cheapo digital camera that I can take out fishing with me and I forget to bring it out.

Funny, I had the same experience with an ATI-47 last year, very weird, because I was catching jumbo perch as well, 10-13 inches and had something slam it and took the whole rig.  I would have figured it was a Northern as well, since I know they were feeding on the perch, but being on the Mississippi, you can never sure until its up in the hole.
-- If you have any of the ATI-47s, those were working great for me for perch last winter.

    I got a really interesting report from a field tester on Mille Lacs today.  ATI-47 Orange and black tiger.  Using a baitcaster in a perm.  Drop it down with the rod set as a dead stick.  When the vex lights up tap the reel with your finger.  No hit, do it again.   :fishing2:

         Outdoor J.    I have a couple of projects I need to finish.  I would really like to have you and your boys try a few new things out for me in South Dakota.  Right now   I'm working on the ultimate pout lure with a couple of members of this site.  The big test will be at the pout fest in Walker.  Mtcommer and I are working on a webstite update too.  Thanks for offering and when the big projects are done  I will have some new stuff for you and your boys  to try.
