Anyone been out on a river yet?

I hit the MN a couple of days ago, picked up 2 walleyes (15" & 22").   Might hit it again in a few hours.

Is there ice on the Croix yet?

eyes and saugers are biting below the damn down in redwing. in boats, obviously...

Supposidly there is 6 inches of ice at bayport, but I don't see how... if you head out there, report back, but be careful.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

Hit the MN again this morning, the patch of ice I was on was slowly sinking.  So I only hung around for a few hrs.  By tomorrow that spot will be unfishable.  Should have walked away, I didn't have any rope.

Slow, only got 1 & missed one  :-[.  Guess the lakes will have to do for now.
