Our's is 2800 pounds... it's a 20 footer.  what do they normally weigh?

also, what should the tongue weight be?
Our pulls just fine down the road, no problems... but the tongue weight is 500 pounds.
I say if it pulls fine and doesn't swerve, it's ok right?

the weight might play into consideration as to how soon you would care to haul it out onto the ice.

Mine is 8 x 23 and weights in at 3520 Lbs with a full hundred lb cylinder, auger and everything else that,s needed. It's got 340 lbs of tongue weight and don't sway at all down the road. I wouldn't want any less tongue weight. A guy who used to make trailers commercially told me a goosneck should have 25% of the weight on the hitch and a pull behind should have between 15-20%.

I hitched 6 Finlander brothers to mine and told them there was a whole bottle of  Blatz just laying out on the ice waiting for the first man to get it.

They nearly ripped the house in half and took her to near warp speed. The following brawl for the Blatz nearly destroyed the house, if I hadn't cut them loose, who knows what could have happend.

That was 25 years ago..None of the brothers have spoken since and they live within 3 miles of each other.

Dang! I guess that wasn't the best idea
