Can't break it if you get a snag.  I think I could pull a tree down with it.  Had 3 break off or cut offs tonight.  Is the line cutting itself at the knot?.  It has a smaller diameter so I dropped down to 10lb test.  I don't think these were pike.  I have used it ice fishing and never had a break off.  Anybody have any answers? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I have had some problems if the line gets a couple years old. Also find that it will wear on the last couple feet where all the casting tourque is. After loosing $15 worth of tackle in one day I replaced the $12 worth of line and fixed that problem

Improved cinch knot.  Never failed me before.  I think it was just bad luck.  I determined pike can bite through the lighter firelines pretty easy.  This was 10lb test.  It has a very fine diameter.  Recommended knots are the improved cinch an palomar.   Just bad luck.  The knot did not fail because if that happens you get a curly cue at the end of the line.  These were clean and straight. :bonk: :bonk:
