  Reality Bites: Hillbilly Handfishin’ comes to Animal Planet

Reality television program can’t get anymore real than Animal Planet’s new series set to debut this August.

“Hillbilly Handfishin” features Oklahoma hand fisherman Skipper Bivins teaching clients how to “noodle” for catfish using only their hands - no rods or reels allowed.

Animal Planet’s press release puts it best.

“Adventure-thirsty city slickers head to Oklahoma to submerge themselves in murky waters to catch catfish with their bare hands and feet with comedic and dramatic results,” the release says.

Comedic seems to be a given.

Dramatic probably has something to do with emergency room visits.

The series is set for a seven-episode run.
