This year it is also legal to hook your live decoy.   

That way when the pike come flying in with no chance at spearing them you can reel them in after they take off with your chubb.

All I wanna know is, are we going to be cramped?

Haveing not looked at the regs, I don't know. It does really surprise me though as I thought that was the reason for releasing or iceing the fish right away. Either way I'm assumming that if ya done that it would be considered your angling line.
