I am lived in southern mexico for a few years, and go back everyonce in a while, so I thought I share some fishing pics. There is ZERO management in Oaxaca, and most of the land is communal, so finding fish, and then getting permission to fish often takes a bit or wrangling and chitchat with the a village mayor. However there are rainbows in the mountains, and carp, tilapia and bass in lakes, as well as some interesting native species, the place is just dying to have a fishing eco tourism ngo start stocking florida straing large mouth and helping locals managemlocal trout.
