Fish Fair will be held on Friday & Saturday, May 6th & May 7th
from 10:00am - 9:00pm at the Anoka Fair Grounds.
Free admission for your family when you volunteer for a 4 hour shift.


Fish Fair is a fishing carnival for kids and families. Participants of all ages race minnows, make lures, practice casting and are educated about all aspects of fishing in our great state. Activities provide education about habitat awareness, tackle, techniques, species identification and fishing opportunities with clubs and camps present at the fair. This year, the Deep C’s Fish Fry will make its debut on Friday and Saturday nights. We’re excited to report that Fish Fair has served as many as 3,500 visitors in one day! We are also gearing up for our 2nd Annual Sportsmans’ Garage Sale during the fair.

We are looking for volunteers to assist in the following areas:

• Children’s Game Attendants
May 6 & 7 (3 shifts per day)
Description: assist children with activities & games
Shifts: 9:00am - 1:00pm
12:30PM - 5:00pm
4:30pm - 9:00pm

• Facilities / Service
May 6 & 7 (3 shifts per day)
Description: parking assistants, sell Silent Action tickets,
grounds keepers, etc.
Shifts: 9:00am - 1:00pm
12:30PM - 5:00pm
4:30pm - 9:00pm

• Sportsman’s Garage Sale
May 6 & 7 (3 shifts per day)
Description: monitoring the sale, ringing up
purchases, etc.
Shifts: 9:00am - 1:00pm
12:30PM - 5:00pm
4:30pm - 9:00pm

• Admissions
May 6 & 7 (3 shifts per day)
Description: assist with coupon redemption
activities, ticket collection, etc.
Shifts: 9:00am - 1:00pm
12:30PM - 5:00pm
4:30pm - 9:00pm

• Pre-Fair Setup
May 3 – 5 (come anytime between 10:00am - 8:00pm)
Description: table setups, making and posting signs,
decoration setup, directing consignors & sorting garage
sale donations, etc.

• Post Fair Tear Down
May 8th (12:00pm - 4:00pm)
Description: Tear down tables, clean up trash, pack up
leftovers from Sportsman’s Garage Sale, etc.


Please let me know ASAP what shift you would be able to work and if you have a specific area you would like to work in. I will try her best to place you in that area. If you know of anyone else that would be interested in volunteering, please provide me with their contact information and I will follow up with them.
