I live in the North-Northwest suburbs  (Coon Rapids). What ever I pick you can keep , I just want to actually find some and know what to look for. Thanks a ton huntr4lfe :help:

Keep watching the site.  I will let you know when they start to pop and we may have a get together and look as a group.

We need more heat.  The soil needs to warm up a lot. MINIMUM of 2 weeks.

I agree dakids.  However, the woods are surprisingly dry.  I went for a couple walks this past week and the woods has the morel feel.  It shouldn't be long now.  There are some wet spots but for the most parts the woods looks and feels like it does when the morels are growing.

I have never looked there for morels.  Have you had good luck there before?

I think I heard rumors of it when I was a kid.  Supposed to be morels the size of your (well maybe my forearms).  I can't wait for Saturday.  Count me in.  Where do we sign up?

I picked a 5 gallon bucket full in my yard last year in one day. I hate mushrooms!! I can show you where to find them. they are around old dead aspen stumps. If you find some do not pull them out....cut them off and they will return.
