Sturgeon fishing continues to be good for most groups.  The water has cleared up considerably, and the current has slowed to a fraction of what it was last week.  Four to five ounces of weight seems to be the norm.  A few fish in the 60 inch range have been caught, along with many measuring 50 inches or more.  Most have caught fish during the day, but a couple groups have reported excellent fishing in the evening and just after dark.  The river mouth and four-mile bay have been producing sturgeon on a consistent basis.

The weather has finally started to warm this weekend.  It looks like it will be in the 50s and 60s this week with a cold front moving in for the weekend.

We still have some openings for mid-week.  From April 24th thru May 7th , with purchase a $5 sturgeon tag, anglers may keep one sturgeon between 45 and 50 inches.
