I went out today, trying to get some pics. First I screwed up and left the flash on. Once I shut that off they come in and looked but left again b4 the camera warmed up enough for a pic. So I shut the camera off and waited. About 5 minutes later another come in from the opposite side about the same size. I repeated this about 3 times this AM, then it dawned on me. When younger I used to angle them through a spear hole and when they weren't aggressive they would look and then come back to hit the bait about 5 min later. Guess I forgot about it over the yrs.

So today was a skunk. No pics and none speared. My intent was to quick snap a pic then grab the spear and take them.

I believe the second fish that came in was the same as the first and the 4th the same as the 3rd, etc.

I am thinking they are still in the area watching just making up their mind or coming in for a better attack whatever. Has anyone else noticed them acting in this behavior?

Hey Griz.

I would like to come out with you sometime in the spear house.

This is something that I have always wanted to check out.

Shur

My shcedule is rather open with me being laid off. Every other w/e I have the kids, so I'm shur we could figure something out.

Careful it's a bit addicting. Last person to go out with me ended up spending money buying spearing gear.

Maybe sometime after the 1st of the year. I should be pretty busy until then.

Spear fishing still good in December??

What depths do you usually fish in?
