Have not been on the lake since last Wednesday. Finally got to go today. Me and guests were greeted with a nice wind and some cloud cover. Reports at the bait shop were not good as others I have heard here and around. I started at Pine point as the wind was pounding in. We right away had fish on and continued there for a couple hours putting 4 in the box and a couple releases. The small walleye in the picture was kept cause it was killed by a muskie at the boat. The big fish held on to the dink for a good 5 minutes showing him self at the surface before letting go,,,what a show it was!! I was just about to net the little guy when this muskie hit it right at the boat!! Also the perch next to the dink was 13 inches!!

As boats moved in I moved off pine point with and went to a spot I fished opening weekend. We had hammered them then so I was hopeful. Well the perch had move into this spot and the walleyes either moved out or couldn't get the bait before the perch. We caught some very nice perch for the box before leaving. The traffic had thinned on Pine point so we went back and finished our limit. We then went out 1/2 mile or so from pine to a waypoint I have had for who knows how long. We only had an hour or so left and our fish in the box so I was searching. It was good move, we found numerous slot fish and an "over" just over 28 inches. It was a very good day considering the bite has been off. It was only my fourth day on leech so far and 3 days of the 4 produced limits so fishing isn't that bad.

Jig and minnow, shiners or fatheads. 10ft or less, The agressive jigger gets the bites!!
I have openings !!
