NoDak Pheasant Hunting - recommendations

Anyone pheasant hunt ND?  My daughter started at Concordia this month and I figured I could get a NoDak pheasant hunt in this fall on a trip to visit her.  Looking for recommendations on places to hunt within about an hour of Fargo.  I've done a little googling but figured a personal recommendation would be even better.

The bad news is the wet spring/summer we had really put the crimp on pheasant reproduction this year.  But you should be able to find some birds.  I would look in theForman/ Oakes area and west right along the SD border for the best pheasant hunting, close to Fargo.  NDGF has plots books available for free but ND has some bogus rule abount Nonresidents hunting the first week on plots land.  After the first week or two of season, lots of Nodaks will open their land up to hunting if asked..of course not opening deer weekend....late season pheasant hunts can be fun if its not too cold!

Thanks for the info.  I did read that the wet Spring/Summer had a big impact in ND as well as MN.
