Windy, windy, windy…  Strong Northwest winds have made it difficult to get on the big lake, where fishing has been excellent.  There have been a few fish caught in the river, but the bite has been tough.  On the brighter side, four mile bay and the inside of lighthouse gap are starting to produce nice walleyes.  Walleyes appear to be just on the verge of migration upriver.

Cooler weather the past few days has dropped the water temps into the lower 50s.  The trend towards colder weather should continue, bringing water temperatures to a more seasonal level.

Congratulations to Bruce and Jared Erickson.  They took first place in BVL’s second annual Chili Bowl!  A special thanks to all the sponsors and contestants for, once again, making it a great event.
