Some of you know, some of the lakes are experiencing winter kill from the heavy snow and cold winter. Here is a link on the article posted on facebook from the tribune: http://www.startribune.com/sports/outdoors/251724781.html

The lake that we were on last Saturday, is also experiencing winter kill.

The photo is from North Center in Linstrom, MN

Lake Owasso has a fish die off early this winter because of too high a concentration of 02.  Numerous lakes had winter kill this winter from O2 depletion.  Yet many people believe we can control and alter the climate of the planet.   Nature was in charge, is in charge, and will always be in charge.  It is sad to see the die offs.  Unfortunately it will not be the last time.   :Fish:

Does anyone know what the DNR will do in these cases?!

I would imagine the best thing to do would be to get rid of all those dead fish, scoop them out and then them out of there.  Take all those barely live Carp and do the same....
Anyone have a thought about if they would do that, or just leave them as fish and turtle food?
