We need a lot of this  :cold: :cold: before we get the  :snow5: this year.  It won't be long.  The lakes I duck hunt usually freeze up on deer opener.  Some of the smaller lakes are ready to fish by Thanksgiving.  Last year was a tough one.  Winter is around the corner.  I wish everyone luck and remember to be safe. :happy1: :happy1:

To DDSBYDAY.....I notice the Fastach clip on your line. I just recently picked some up already this year to give a shot for icefishing. Do you like...pros or cons? I was first worried about having to much jewlery on my line but I plan on using them on the bottom of my jigging spoons to attach to my trebles just to give my bait a little more play when a fish flares its gills and inhales my bait.
Come on ice lets get a move on!!!!!1

I like them for ice fishing.  Makes swapping lures a snap.  I have never had one fail.  The ones I have would not work for attaching the treble because of the closed off line tie .  You could try a tiny snap lock.  (both ends open)  I have a couple hundred of them if you would like to try some let me know.  These are 15lb test and should work on the  spoon.  Good idea, should work well.  :happy1:

What I would do is keep the o-ring on the bottom of the sppon and attach the fastach clip to the o-ring then you can swap out either the treble or single hook when you need. Thats my intent and for length for the swing of my bait.
Id definetly take you up on giving them a try. Just let me know how you'd like to handle that.
I also use the fast snaps for quick change of lures too. They work great and have many different sizes for all species of fish you may target.

The quick clips I use have such a tight line tie that I don't think I could get a split ring through it.  Here is a pick of the snaps I have.  Pm me your address and I will send you some later next week.  I have  a little deer hunting to do so I won't be able to get to the post office until then.

This is what I use But I do some time it seem to be hard to change in the  :cold: I do like them as it less weight to my line and smaller, witch in turn make my live bait  work better.

I was not familiar with the fastach clips until today.  I like the concept and made a few to try.  The concept of getting the bait further from the lure is not only of value in the winter.  I have been building my jigs this way for 2 years.  (long shank).  People are on to the concept that the fish go for the bait not the delivery agent most of the time.  When they are really aggressive they will grab everything.  Those times are fun but not the norm.
